We completed the most arduous part of the journey. We survived the most difficult part of the journey and how ridiculous it would be if you give up now. We can see the finishing line in front of us, the crowds beside us cheering on. All you have to do now is to slide along this easy part and we can complete the race.

Come On! It's just MCQs and Chinese now! We can do it. Persevere on and we would complete the race soon.

MSP and CL Lit Students. Although you might still have an extra mile to complete, I'm sure that the prize at the end would be even more rewarding than ours.

It's going to be like the middle part of the marathon. The part where you feel like giving up, the part where you're so tired that your body can't seem to respond. But we all should know that completing this section of the race would be the most rewarding. Just imagine yourself, completing the most challenging part of the journey and arriving to the easy parts that would lead to the finishing line.

Don't give up! Carry On Working Hard! We Can Do It! It's just 2 more weeks to freedom.(For most of us). After this grueling week, I'm sure that it would be much easier to handle the rest of the exams left.

CDs are all out sent for my group. For the rest of the class, please follow Li Wen's instructions or something as I'm not really in charged of this "project". Once again, each file has a specific password just to access it. Also, to print each file, you need to have another password to do so.
According to Cher Peng, he would send out the whole list of passwords by email to you ASAP. So, don't rush us for it.

For the matter of sharing, please understand we only have the permission of teachers to share WITHIN the class. As for the Biology and Physics notes, the notes are standard across the classes. So, sharing those subjects won't make a difference.

Also, for Express Chinese Band 2 students, please remember to turn up for Chinese oral practice this coming Thursday. The sequence was posted some time back.

After that, we can find someplace to chill.

It would most probably be a buffet steamboat/BBQ. The price is around 15 dollars.
There is a cheaper one at Turf City, provided that you guys don't mind travelling.

It has been changed to a CHRISTMAS CLASS STEAMBOAT PARTY
Date: 20th December

All participants will bring along a gift for exchange that is btwn $8 - $10 range.

The location would be confirmed soon.

Presents exchange:
The presents exchange would be split into two parts. One for the girls and one for the guys.

In both parts, all the presents would be numbered and we would draw lots to see who gets which present. If you unluckily/luckily got back your own present, you have to draw again.

Experimental errors:
1. Not enough bubbling to from froth
- Inaccuracy in determining enzyme activity, result is lesser than expected
- Increase amount of specimen used such that there will be more enzymes working on the substrate
2. Heat loss to surroundings
- Enzymatic activity lower than expected, result is lesser than expected
- Use insulator container to minimize heat loss
3. Enzymes present in each specimen may vary
- Concentration may vary, results will be different from expected
4. Potato cubes floats up
- Cubes stuck at froth layer, blocks the formation of froth and destroys froth that was formed before, inaccuracy in reading, causing result to be higher than actual
5. Surfaces of potato stuck together
- Surface area for enzymatic reaction decreases, amount of froth produced is lesser than actual
Conclusions:
1. Rate of enzymatic reaction is the highest at its optimum temperature and it decreases as the temperature increases beyond its optimum temperature (temperature)
2. The higher the enzyme concentration, the faster the rate of the decomposition of the substrate(enzyme concentration)
3. The higher the temperature, the faster the rate of the decomposition of the substrate

Sources of error:

Thermometric graph
1. contamination
2. heat lost to surroundings

pH Graph
1. Indicators do not change colour sharply at a particular pH. Instead, they may change over a narrow range of pH. Hence, the pH value may be lower or higher than the exact pH
2. Too much indicator solution is added. This may affect the concentration of the titrant. Acid-base indicators are weakly acidic or basic substances

Physics SPA: Light

Sources of error:

1. Pinholes are too big. Thus, angles may vary as many lines can be used
